  • This Chardonnay, from the Loire region, from Château du Cléray-Sauvion, is a good example, if one were needed, of how Chardonnay, typical of the Burgundy region, can adapt to different climates and situations, giving rise to "significant" wines. An organic white, this Chardonnay is the result of a very intelligent vinification process, with strict temperature control in the first phase of the process and a proportion of the wine undergoing malolactic fermentation at the end of the vinification process. While this process causes a certain loss of freshness, it also gives the wine a remarkable smoothness and the creamy notes typical of the best Chardonnays. In addition, to add more complexity to the finished wine, the mass is left to mature slowly on its fermentation lees before bottling. This technique is particularly suited to Chardonnay, which thus acquires complexity and depth of aromas. Golden yellow. The nose reveals expressive and fresh scents, with typical aromas of peach and melon to which a creamy, vanilla and toasted touch is added.
