Grace and structure. There are no better words to describe the perfect balance of this Bellavista Rosé. After all, it comes from a perfect combination of 56% Chardonnay grapes to which 44% of Pinot Noir grapes are added to give strength and colour to the cuvée. The selection of base wines is also decisive. For the final blend, in fact, as many as 30 harvest selections are used, some of which mature in small white oak barrels. The refinement in bottle lasts about 4 years. Time needed for the wine to reach the right complexity. The result is a sparkling wine of rare elegance, characterized by a soft pink hue and a tight perlage that creates a compact and persistent foam on the surface. The nose recalls fragrant notes of ripe fruit, from white peach to wild strawberries. Then memories of wild flowers and toasted bread. In the mouth it is intense and concentrated. Decidedly fresh but not sour, with elegant notes reminiscent of blackcurrant and sweet almond.
Say Franciacorta method and you inevitably think of Bellavista. There are few wine companies in Italy that are able to identify so deeply with their territory. Bellavista is one of them. Created in 1977 from a dream of the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti who chose this estate near Erbusco to give life to his own entrepreneurial project. A project that today, a few years later, coincides with the large group that bears the name of Terra Moretti and that produces, in various corners of Italy, excellent and exclusive wines. The name of the winery, as few people know, refers to the hill on which the winery stands and from which you can admire Lake Iseo, the Po Valley and the nearby Alps in just one glance. The estate can now count on over one hundred plots of land scattered throughout the territory from which the grapes used for the production of classic method sparkling wines come. About a million and a half bottles a year. But there's no need to worry if the numbers look decidedly important. The style of the house is impeccable and all the wines have a very recognizable character. Hard to go wrong with the choice!
