In the sunny region of Castilla La Mancha, comes Melea, an organic white wine that combines the freshness of Verdejo with the aromaticity of Sauvignon Blanc. Produced by Adriá Bodegas, this wine represents a perfect combination of tradition and innovation, an expression of a unique terroir and an environmentally conscious production philosophy. The grapes used to produce Melea come from organically certified vineyards located in the Cuenca area, at an altitude of 660 metres. The yields are low, around 3 kg per plant, to guarantee grapes of the highest quality. Harvesting takes place later than average, in the second half of September, to ensure that the grapes are fully ripe. In the cellar, fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature, preserving the freshness and varietal aromas. The wine is then stabilised with pea protein, for a completely vegan end product. Pale lemon yellow, enhanced by greenish reflections. On the nose, it conquers with an intense and complex bouquet, where notes of pineapple, fresh grass, white flowers and an intriguing touch of flint stand out. In the mouth, it is dry and refreshing, with a medium body and vibrant acidity that balances the alcohol component well. Perfect with vegetable starters, raw fish and cured meats. Excellent with risottos and fresh pasta.
