Giulin is a Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOCG, produced since 1995 by the Accornero winery. A wine of tradition that is made from 100% Barbera grapes harvested in estate vineyards. Traditional submerged cap vinification with frequent programmed pumping over to favour the extraction of aromas, colour and tannins, the transformation ends with malolactic fermentation, spontaneously grafted. Cold stabilised, the wine matures in steel tanks and 500-litre French oak tonneaux for approximately 12 months. In the glass it has a classic lively ruby colour. On the nose, it surprises with pleasant fruity aromas of good harmony. In the mouth, however, one discovers a red wine characterised by great pleasantness, with good structure. Savoury and fresh, it is a Barbera with a strong personality. Excellent at any time of day, this Piedmontese wine goes well with cold meats and cheeses, meat dishes, such as the 'legendary' ravioli del plin.
