      Barbera d'Asti "Solo Acciaio"
    • Barbera d'Asti DOCG Solo Acciaio, a destiny of territory and at the same time a wine to be enjoyed until the last sip. Montalbera has built a bridge that unites 6 generations of winemakers and two of the most dedicated Italian territories in winemaking: Langhe and Monferrato. Barbera d'Asti DOCG Montalbera is an ode to its roots, a tailor-made dress sewn on the desires and expectations of the most sincere enthusiasts. The refinement in steel and the period of rest in the bottle contribute to make this wine fully successful and inviting. The red-purple colour is alive with violet reflections when young and then changes over time in favour of different tones, all waiting to be discovered. The nose gives full, powerful sensations, with characteristic hints of blueberry and black cherry jam. Balanced on the palate, with the right acidity, harmonious and persistent: the fruits picked in the bouquet return as full, enveloping and defined aromas. Barbera d'Asti DOCG Solo Acciaio Montalbera lends itself to important pairings, especially with red meat dishes. It is a wine that smells of tradition, and at the same time a successful and exquisitely modern reinterpretation: an alchemy that attests to the quality of Montalbera's work, the bottle to uncork when passion demands it.

Montalbera was born in Piedmont, between the towns of Grana, Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno, at the beginning of the 20th century. Benefiting from a fortunate position, Montalbera is dedicated to the vinification of only wines from the territory. Since the beginning of the 1980s, in addition to the acquisition of new land and new vineyards, the company has begun a process of re-evaluation of Ruché, a typical Piedmontese wine, and has continued to add many other gems of the territory to its excellence. At the base of everything the Morando family puts into the bottle there are four cardinal points: rigour, planning, interpretation and terroir. A constellation that guides production, aiding navigation in the treacherous waters of wine-making, illuminating a path that, without a shadow of a doubt, leads to wines of rare expressive effectiveness.
