Garboso is a Barbera in purity, gentle and immediate that comes from a processing in steel at controlled temperature. A lovely wine, made more pleasant by the bright ruby tone it reveals when poured into the glass. A wine of the territory, pleasantly fruity. The nose reveals clear hints of very ripe plum and wild strawberry. In the mouth, however, it guarantees a full and excellent drinkability. Well supported by fresh acidity, this wine is not likely to sit on the table for long. It will, on the contrary, end up monopolizing everyone’s conversation. For those who prefer it paired with meat, perhaps a nice roast beef, or those who see it best paired with a piece of flavorful cheese. Let the diners decide.
The company Le Fracce was founded in Mairano di Casteggio in 1905. At that time the vineyards were only on a gentle hill called "Cirgà" in the dialect of Pavia. The founder's goal, shared by modern generations, was (and is) to create quality wines, promoting environmentally friendly viticulture, capable of preserving the health of the land, to be left as a heritage for future generations. In addition to developing and preserving biodiversity, favouring natural resources, but above all enhancing the vines of the territory, encouraging experimentation to improve quality production and thus give rise to new creations. I mean, it's certainly not a goal within just anyone's reach. And yet, in over a century of history, the Fracce have contributed a great deal to the enhancement of their habitat, giving life to wines of quality and character, in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese.
