The Ceretto winery was born in the 1930s. At that time, Riccardo Ceretto, who did not own any vineyards, vinified by buying grapes from others. The turning point coincided with the entry into the company of his sons Bruno and Marcello, who were immediately convinced of the importance of 'owning' one's own land. Bruno and Marcello had in mind the vineyards of Burgundy where excellent wine had been produced for more than a century thanks to a model that took into account the peculiarities of each vineyard. In the 1960s, Bruno and Marcello therefore began to map out the land from which the best wines came and to buy vineyards. And they would never leave the land again. To their children, Bruno and Marcello have handed over a masterfully preserved territory that over time has become a model on which the eyes of the world are focused.
