The Cenatiempo winery, Vini d'Ischia, was founded in the first half of the last century and has always been a point of reference for the production of wines capable of expressing the authenticity and richness of the territory of the small Campania island. Located in an area characterised by volcanic soils, the winery benefits from a unique microclimate, where the soil, enriched by the presence of minerals and proximity to the sea, gives the grapes a distinctive aromatic profile. The winery, which dates back as far as the 17th century, is carved into the hillside. Although the winery has grown and modernised over the years, it has always maintained a family-run approach. The vineyards extend on terraces at various altitudes, from the coast to 600 metres above sea level. Viticulture here requires intense manual labour, thanks to which it has been possible to preserve unique native varieties such as Biancolella and Piedirosso, locally known as Per' ’e Palummo. Ancient grape varieties that have adapted perfectly to the island's climate and give rise to wines with an unmistakable character.
