Among international red grape varieties, Merlot is undoubtedly one of those that lends itself best to various stylistic interpretations. Accomplice is a pleasantly fruity character and a practically unique capacity for adaptation. In this Ventiterre, signed Zonin, Merlot, at 85% in the blend, is accompanied by other red grapes, creating an unprecedented "Italian Merlot". Harvested when fully ripe, the stalks are immediately separated from the grapes. These are pressed softly, releasing their juice. This is followed by a maceration and fermentation phase lasting about eight days, until the right colouring and complete release of aromas, flavours and tannins is achieved. After vinification, the wine is then matured in oak barrels. Intense ruby red in colour, the nose is captivating for its freshness and vinosity, with abundant fruit tones. In the mouth it is pleasantly full and intense, with soft tannins and a long fruity finish. A classic wine for the whole meal. Excellent with red meats, grilled.
