The Le Casematte farm owes its name to the presence of three casemates, small forts used as sentry shelters, dating back to the First and Second World Wars, placed there to defend the territory. These are located in the largest vineyard plot. The company has a strong territorial identity, being located in the hills north of the city of Messina. Today it has a vineyard of about 11 hectares, cultivated with the main Sicilian varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Nocera and Nero d'Avola. The company insists on the small DOC Faro.
