Matured in steel, on its own fine lees, for a minimum of 6 months, I Frati is a Lugana DOC among the most representative of the area. A real "benchmark", a reference point for all wines of the same type. It is no coincidence that it is the wine that has made the image of the Cà dei Frati winery known throughout the world. Conceived to be consumed in the vintage, it expresses the best part of itself many years after bottling. If, in fact, in its youth it is above all fresh and endowed with great finesse and elegance, with delicate notes of white flowers and balsamic, hints of apricot and almond, the passage of time does not frighten it. On the contrary, it allows it to evolve over time, expressing its mineral notes with greater determination. It acquires complexity, with hints of iodine, spices and candied fruit. In the mouth, then, it is enveloping and balanced, with an important sapidity accompanied by lively and exuberant acidity. Serve with cold starters or delicate fish dishes.
