Vieux Château Certan

The region is always that of Bordeaux, one of the most loved and appreciated in France. This time, however, we are in Pomerol, home to Vieux Château Certan, one of the oldest and most prestigious estates in the region. Founded more than a century ago by the grandfather of Alexandre Thienpont, the current owner, the estate now boasts a 14-hectare vineyard. Fertile soils and a beautiful presence of geological elements give its wines a unique identity. Here, the grape varieties typical of the region, such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, find ideal conditions to express their full potential. The company is distinguished by its constant commitment to perfecting each stage of production, from vineyard care to vinification. The aim is to best preserve the characteristics of the terroir and the grapes, obtaining wines that stand out for their brilliance, exceptional aromatic richness, depth and delicacy of flavour.
