Marie-Noëlle Ledru

Marie-Noëlle Ledru is a winemaker from Ambonnay, on the Montagne de Reims, known for her strong identity and the consistency of her work. Her Champagnes, made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, are an expression of a unique terroir and a sensitive soul. In recent years, Marie-Noëlle's wines have become the subject of economic speculation, with skyrocketing prices and auctions to win the few bottles available. In 2011, Marie-Noëlle lost two thirds of her vineyard due to inheritance issues. And in 2017, she stopped bottling, giving the must to other producers. In 2020, she quit working in the vineyard, renting out her land. Despite the difficulties, Marie-Noëlle has decided to continue producing occasional small quantities of wine. The bottles that reach the market are the result of a free choice and not of external pressure. Drinking a Champagne from Marie-Noëlle Ledru means not only tasting a great wine, but also supporting a woman with deep ties to her land and tradition.
