Domaine Trémeaux

Domaine Trémeaux, Burgundy, village of Mercurey. Gabriel Tremeaux founded the winery in the early 20th century. With the outbreak of the First World War, the leadership of the winery passed to his wife Marta. Subsequently, his son George took a modern turn and concentrated only on the production of AOC Mercurey wines. Today, the winery is run by his son Gilles, grandson of the founder, who introduced the use of oak barrels for wine ageing. Today, the vineyards of Domaine Tremeaux occupy around 10 hectares, exclusively in the Mercurey appellation. The wines produced are still the original ones from a century ago, the quality of which is mainly ensured by careful and respectful work in the vineyard.
