We are in the wine region of Cahors, not too far from Bordeaux. Here, in the picturesque village of La Capelle, stands the Domaine Cosse & Maisonneuve. With a surface area of 21 hectares, this estate produces around 85,000 bottles a year, the result of meticulous work and a deep knowledge of the territory. Matthieu Cosse, the soul of the Domaine, is a vigneron by vocation and a trained oenologist, with a predilection for Malbec. His adventure in the world of wine began in 1999, when he decided to dedicate himself completely to the production of the ‘black wine’ of Cahors. Together with Catherine Maisonneuve, he now works his vineyards following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with full respect for the environment and biodiversity.
