In the heart of the renowned Margaux area, in Haut-Médoc, lies Château Durfort-Vivens, a historic and elegant estate with a winemaking tradition dating back to the 12th century. The château has had a fascinating history, passing from the Durfort de Duras family to the Vivens, and then entering the orbit of Château Margaux, with which it shared historical ties. In the vineyards of Château Durfort-Vivens, the typical Margaux vines reign supreme: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. These noble vines find their ideal habitat in this terroir, expressing their characteristics at their best and giving life to complex and elegant wines. Since the 1960s, when Lucien Lurton took the reins of the estate, the Château's production approach has been characterised by the utmost respect for nature and the terroir. The vineyards are managed with meticulous care, following the principles of sustainable agriculture and making the most of the plant's natural vegetative cycle.
