Petit-Camusat

In the Côte des Bar, a Champagne region renowned for its Pinot Noir, lies a small village called Noé-les-Mallets. Here, hidden among the undulating hills, lies the Petit-Camusat estate, a rare pearl in the region's oenological panorama. Frédéric and Evelyne Petit-Camusat, husband and wife, are the custodians of this small reality. With passion and dedication, they cultivate 7.5 hectares of vineyards from which they produce around 10,000 bottles a year. A curiosity about this small Maison is the fact that in the vineyard they have about 15% Pinot Blanc, the seventh variety allowed in the Champagne AOC specifications, although it is rarely used. The Petit-Camusat vineyards are located on limestone and clay soils with good exposure to the sun. In the vineyard and cellar, Frédéric and Evelyne adopt an artisanal approach, aimed at preserving the integrity of the fruit and enhancing the characteristics of the terroir. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified naturally, with spontaneous fermentation and no use of additives.
