In the heart of Emilia, between the Secchia and Panaro rivers, lies Sorbara, a small town that gave birth to one of Italy's most loved wines: Lambrusco. And it was here, in 1928, that Umberto Cavicchioli laid the foundations of a story that would mark the destiny of an entire family and an entire region. It all began in a humble laboratory, where Umberto, with passion and dedication, began to make wine from the grapes of his vineyard. His intuition was to promote an autochthonous vine, Lambrusco, which found the ideal habitat in those lands. Over time, the company grew, and thanks to the commitment of his sons Franco, Romano and Piergiorgio, it became a successful business, always keeping alive the passion for wine and respect for tradition. Despite the strong bond with tradition, Cavicchioli has been able to look to the future, investing in modern technologies and experimenting with new winemaking techniques to obtain more fragrant and fruity wines, in line with the tastes of contemporary consumers.
