Château de Cathalogne is owned by the Despagne family. It is located in the Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. Thanks to the presence of these two rivers, the vineyards are less exposed to large temperature fluctuations and, thanks to a soil consisting of clay, sand and silt, the estate is able to produce, year after year, fabulous wines from the typical grape varieties of the region. So Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc for the reds, and Sauvignon Blanc for the whites. In 1997 the family signed the "Charter for Quality and Integrated Agricultural Management and Sustainable Viticulture". Since then, the wines of Château de Cathalogne have often received awards from the strictest wine critics.
