Château Croizet-Bages, classified 5ème cru classé by Pauillac, has a long and fascinating history. Founded in the 18th century, the Château distinguished itself at the Universal Exhibitions throughout the 19th century. In 1942, it was bought by a merchant named Paul Quié, whose family still runs this prestigious estate. Today, the beautiful estate has a 27-hectare vineyard on the Bages plateau. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, are planted in deep gravelly soils and sandy-gravelly soils.
