Nestled in the quiet French countryside, in the Loire region, is Domaine Bois Vaudons. A family-run winery, it is run with passion and dedication by Jean-François Mérieau, a winemaker with an infectious smile and a Gascon spirit. The vineyards of Bois Vaudons insist on a rich and complex terroir, characterised by clay, limestone and sandy soils. An ideal habitat that allows the cultivation of high quality grapes. Among the rows of Bois Vaudons are some Pineau d'Aunis vines that, with their over 100 years of age, represent a true oenological curiosity, as well as guaranteeing the production of 'few' grapes of unequalled concentration and complexity. Jean-François Mérieau is a winemaker who believes in respecting terroir and tradition. In the vineyard, low yields and manual harvests are applied, while in the cellar, vinification takes place naturally, with spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention.
