An ancient history, the estate once belonged to none other than the powerful Piccolomini family, including a Pope Pius II who built the Renaissance masterpiece of Pienza. Today, the estate consists of two separate nuclei in the commune of Montalcino, for a total of 650 hectares. Of these, only ten are reserved for vineyards. Cultivated only with Sangiovese, they produce about 40 thousand bottles a year, divided between Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC and a Rosso IGT.
