    CHARACTERISTICS
    • TypeVino Champagne rosé
    • Location Champagne
    • Grapes 55% Pinot noir, 45% Chardonnay
    • Sensations Pink colour with light copper reflections. Dynamic effervescence forming a persistent stream of bubbles. Pure, precise and radiant bouquet. The intense aromas of Pinot Noir recall the harvest, pure, ripe and concentrated fruit: red berries (redcurrant, wild raspberry, blackcurrant) and tangy notes, raspberry liqueur. Followed by sweet spices, smoky notes and reductive hints of Pinot Noir with undergrowth nuances. On the palate, concentrated and broad, with red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) unfolding in a firm, intense texture developed in two phases: an initial silky and generous attack (final ripeness), followed by a resolute, vibrant freshness (cool summer). A sense of concentration, a swirl of flavours that unfold elegantly and gradually, like salty bubbles on the palate. The saline, iodine impression combines with smoky notes and acidity, delivering umami and an endlessly savoury finish.

    Champagne Cristal Rosé 2014
    • Champagne Cristal Rosé 2014 is born from a complex, almost theatrical vintage, shaped by sharp climatic contrasts that demanded vision and precision in the vineyard. After a bright spring and a warm early summer, the cycle was disrupted by cool, rainy months, before regaining balance with a dry and sunny September, crucial for grape ripening. It is within this alternation that the character of the vintage emerges: tension and maturity, energy and depth. The secret of this cuvée lies in the chalky terroir’s ability to drain excess water and restore precision, allowing the grapes to reach a rare balance. The result is a Champagne of great purity, where Pinot Noir dominates with intensity and definition, supported by the finesse of Chardonnay. In the glass, it reveals a luminous pink hue with light copper reflections and a vibrant effervescence. The bouquet is clear, almost radiant: red berries, citrus notes and hints of spice intertwine with smoky and undergrowth nuances. On the palate, it is a dynamic experience built in two phases: a broad, silky opening followed by a sharp freshness reflecting the cooler side of the vintage. The finish is long, saline and marked by an almost “electric” texture, where acidity and umami merge elegantly. A Cristal Rosé that narrates 2014 with remarkable precision: intense, vibrant and strikingly contemporary.

When wine becomes a family matter, one might say. Louis Roederer, one of the most renowned and respected Champagne houses, is also one of the few still owned by the founding family. It all began in 1776. Based in Reims, the company distinguished itself from the outset by acquiring vineyards in the finest areas rather than relying on purchased grapes. The aim was to create great wines with full control over production – from vineyard to bottle. The results have proven the Roederer vision right: today the estate spans around 240 hectares, across the finest crus of Champagne, between the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne. The iconic Cristal is undoubtedly its flagship wine, although enthusiasts worldwide recognise a distinctive style across the entire range. Today, Maison Louis Roederer is the largest producer of biodynamic Champagne.
