White wines - Grillo

Widespread in Sicily, particularly in the Marsala area, Grillo is a grape variety probably originating in Apulia. Its characteristic hints of fruit and citrus fruits, together with floral notes, make it an intense and mineral white wine, pleasant to drink on any occasion. Cheeses, fish dishes and crudités are its favourite accompaniments, but it also goes perfectly with vegetable-based first courses and white meats.
