White wines - Marche

Between the Apennines and the sea, on the eastern flank of the Italian peninsula, is the region of Marche. Its territory, but also its climate and varied heights make this region very interesting from a wine-growing point of view and able to offer a great quantity of excellent wines.

The production of marchigian's wines is balanced between red wines and white wines, with fascinating local grape varieties which give origin to complex, structured wines. Examples of great Marche wines are the whites Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi DOCG and Verdicchio di Matelica DOC, while among the red wines you can find the native Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, Rosso Piceno and Offida.
