The stated dosage for this bottle is slightly more than 9 grams of sugar per liter. Low, but not too low. This Cuvée Sainte Germaine of De Barfontarc is a Champagne pleasant from the first sip. It comes from a blend of Pinot Noir, in clear predominance (about 60%) and Chardonnay for the rest. All the wines included in the cuvée are, however, the fruit of just two harvests, the current and the previous one. The starting wines, therefore, retain all their freshness and ability to age for a long time. The aging in the cellar, in this case, is particularly long and the Champagne that results is very rich, perfect to be enjoy with very tasty dishes. From foie gras to duck breast. Golden yellow color, on the nose it has hints of pastry and quince. It gives the same sensations on the palate, well sustained by an extensive length.
