Cape Mantelle is not simply an Australian winery. It is a true symbol of the enology of that continent. Located in the most climatically interesting area of the island's southern region, Cape Mantelle's vineyards enjoy the influence of two oceans on three sides. Something that doesn't happen often... Added to this is the careful application of precision viticulture, which leads to the harvesting of micro-sections of vines and the creation of micro-winemaking to get only the best from each plot. Cape Mentelle is, moreover, the first winery in Australia to be certified by Sustainable Australia Winegrowing and since 2019 has adopted an anti-herbicide policy in its vineyards, which are also kept tidy by grazing sheep and chickens. Biodiversity and ecosystem conservation is also ensured by the introduction of predators for pest control and to a system of surface water treatment and rainwater reuse. Great wines are born out of great respect for the environment. Cape Martelle is the Australian sister of New Zealand's Cloudy Bay.
