Bouquet: This wine has a very varied and multifaceted bouquet, with ripe fruit notes of melon, white peach, pear or delicious apple, as well as aromas of quince jelly, chamomile and pineapple, together with mineral notes of flint. Taste: The combination of fruity, aromatic and savoury taste components is repeated on the palate. The compact structure with an elegant creaminess blends into a very aromatic, persistent and distinctly mineral aftertaste.
  • Vinification Manual grape harvest and selection. Gentle whole cluster pressing and racking by natural sedimentation. Slow fermentation at controlled temperature in large oak barrels (70 and 30 hl). Malolactic fermentation and ageing for 12 months on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels.

    Deep and complex, yet delicate, this is an exceptionally concentrated and ripe pinot bianco. But it has a cool side, too, and that helps balance the toast and dried-pear character on the mid-palate before the dramatic, mineral freshness kicks in at the intense, long finish. Just beginning a long life. Drink or hold.

  • 100% Pinot Blanc. And not just any grapes. Only those from the southern slopes of the Monzoccolo, in the Terlano DOC area. Here, at an altitude of between 450 and 650 metres above sea level, there are sunny, steep vineyards where a Pinot Bianco is grown that the winery's winemaker describes as nothing less than "exciting". The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, and immediately afterwards a gentle whole cluster crushing and destemming by natural sedimentation takes place. This is followed by a slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in large oak casks, malolactic fermentation and a long period of refinement lasting about 12 months on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful, bright straw-yellow colour, still streaked with greenish reflections. On the nose, a very varied and multifaceted bouquet, with ripe fruit notes of melon, white peach, pear or delicious apple, but also with aromas of quince jelly, chamomile and pineapple. On top of this, there are mineral notes of flint. In the mouth, the structure is compact, with an elegant creaminess that blends into a very aromatic, persistent and distinctly mineral aftertaste. A complex and elegant wine, it is simply ideal with a classic spicy fish soup, but also with mussel soup or spaghetti allo scoglio.

    Founded in 1893, the Cantina di Terlano is one of the most avant-garde wine cooperatives in the whole of Alto Adige. Its 143 current members cultivate 190 hectares of vineyards, producing a total annual output of around one and a half million bottles, divided into two lines, plus a few rarities of great oenological value. In the modern wine cellar, only DOC wines are produced, especially white wines, thanks to the new area created in 2009, where the wines have all the space they need to grow and develop to the full. From an architectural point of view, the Terlan Winery also deserves special mention. On the outside, part of the building has been covered with red porphyry, the typical rock of the area, while the roof of the winery has been greened and covered with vines, thus blending into the surrounding cultivated landscape. The wine archive of the cellar is unique in Italy with its 100,000 bottles from the 1955 vintage to the present day. However, the cellar also holds some ancient treasures: some bottles dating back to the year of its foundation!
